Realistic STA 52 1976 model. Works great in the shop with Dynaco A-25's.
PS Audio 200CX 1989 model (I think) with Klipsch Quartet's. I do not use either one every day but when I am in the area of the house/shop they in they are on and still running fine.

I guess 10+ years now pushing hard to drive speakers without a flinch.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I am listening to "holiday" music on this dump find Yamaha 5-channel A/V receiver (as a stereo) via a pair of Altec Santiagos as I type this. No work's been done on the Yamaha other than my cleaning the controls and switches after I determined that it did in fact work.

Rascal actually sounds pretty good; I've been using it and the Santiagos for Zoom meeting audio via one of those little Bluetooth receiver thingies. :|

I don't actually know how old it is though -- certainly not old by my standards for hifi.

The Santiagos are as new and date from ca. the early 1970s, if that counts for anything. :p

That 2-channel R-9 or whichever "R" it is that was mentioned by @clipdat is considerably cooler, though. B)

You guys are gonna play "old stuff that works" with Hardy?

    Yeah. Good luck with that.
    Even Jesse would think twice.

But, but, but -- as I said earlier... any of the old stuff I actually use, I maintain.

I doubt that any, umm, I hope that none of all y'all* are is** running 40, 50, or 60 year old hardware with original electrolytics in it (e.g.). :| Electrolytics don't age gracefully -- 'specially the first stage AC mains filters :/

I will, if pressed, however, own up to not slavishly replacing all electrolytics in a component prophylactically! I don't muck with tuned circuits (i.e., radio sections of receivers or tuners) without danged good reason to -- and (truth be told) there are more than a few aged vacuum tube components here with original multisection can electrolytic capacitors still in 'em. If I "reform" them on first power up (as opposed to slammin' 'em with AC mains voltage) and if they run cool (i.e., empirically still seem to have low internal resistance), I have been known to justm umm...

Most of my older non serviced, daily use amps are gone once I looked them as liabilities rather than assets. I did keep a couple 80's vintage Mcintosh amps but now they both have issues and need the 4 hour trip to Audio Classics; hopefully sometime this winter. So that leaves just my mc1201's from early 2000's. I'm really dreading the day they need servicing at 147lbs apiece.

I imagine the shipping cost would add significantly to the cost, especially having to ship two units at that weight.

No way would I trust them getting shipped. If or when the time does come it'll be a strong buddy and little old me wrestling them into my vehicle for the ride to Vestal NY.
