Kenny Wayne Shepard is good, Might try his first and last albums both are great, as are most of his others. Other southern blues-rockers; Walter Trout, Tab Benoit, Warren Haynes, Chris Duarte and many others...

EDIT: Walter Trout is great. To clarify, he's not from the south like the other three listed.
