Anyone try this stuff? Beef, salt, and water. Says like 2 years shelf life and "prepared with natural beef" no preservatives? How do they do it? I bought a bag and I am waiting 2 years to see what happens.7l2m4nl4yc1z.jpg

The size of the hand compared to the package made me laugh. That’s a lot of pre-cooked shredded beef.

That stuff usually gets packed in cans with about a six year shelf life.

This would probably taste better than canned with the retort cooking they usually do in that process.

Better expect a visit from Tonyb....
He won't be there to try the cannolis, you may need one of those fancy metal straws to eat the rest of the beef B):#

lol...maybe so, but from my neck of the woods....no Italian is eating this crap out of a bag or making a cannoli with it. We only eat natural stuff that has been properly pis sed on and crapped on by wild animals. :)

Slightly off topic..... have you looked at where most packaged seafood comes from? Various frozen fish, shrimp, crab meat all comes from half-way across the planet. I have asked where the fish behind the counter comes from. Was told it comes in frozen and they never know.

Fortunately live close to the ocean to get fresh caught fish, but it's still an hour away. :(

Yeah it's pretty pathetic. Take frozen Pink Salmon for example. They catch it in Alaska and can't afford to process it with American labor so it is sent to China for processing and then comes back to us. That's still cheaper instead of paying Americans a living wage to do it, or even minimum wage. Can't do much for the quality of the fish.

At times I wish we lived closer to the coast in order to obtain fresh fish/seafood. We live in the Midwest where we can buy Beef directly from the Farm if we choose. Chicken and Pork is also raised in the Midwest.

I can't speak for the Beef in Cali. One of the advantages of living in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest, we have access to good, grain fed or grass fed Beef direct from the Farm.
