HTS10 power light flashing red after playing normally for a few seconds

I just got an HTS10 and a new Denon AVRS650H receiver. I have the HTS10 set to auto power cycling and I've tried the Denon in both LFE and LFE+Main modes. My front speakers are set as small. The subwoofer is definitely getting signal.
Whenever I unplug then plug in the HTS10, the power light turns green, it plays for a couple seconds (sounds fine) and then it emits a couple of thumping noises and the power light starts flashing red and stays that way indefinitely.
The manual doesn't mention this behavior at all. I'm not really sure what to try next. Any ideas?

It's probably best to contact the seller and explain what's happening, or Polk via their customer support line: 1-800-377-7655 select option 1.
