Some highlights for me will be:
Wood Brothers 8pm est (5pm pst)
Little Feat 9pm est (6pm pst)
John Prine 10pm est (7pm pst)
Marcus King Band 12am est (9pm pst)
Bela Fleck & The Flecktones 5am est (2am pst)
Dang I'm bummed I missed that! That whole stretch from Wood Bros to Tedeschi Trucks would've all floated my boat. I dig Steve Earle doing bluegrass, though I'd rather have heard an earlier set with Del McCoury band ... I lived in Quincy,CA for a few years as a kid in the 70's. It was pretty sweet actually.
Was a bit surprised to see neither Umphy's McGee or The Revivalists on the marquee, they've both played High Sierra recently. Look up Umphry's doing 'Can't You See' on the YT ... it's stellar.
If you've never heard the Revivalists, you should check 'em out. I have very similar taste to you and they're one my favorite new bands. Their 2015 "Men Amongst Mountains" is a top-to-bottom great disc.
Also ... Day One ... John Hiatt followed by Gillian & Dave ... an hour doesn't get much better than that ...Post edited by brettjv on -
Umphrees McGee was 1:10am pst, 4:10am est on Fri., which cause me to miss it on the east coast. I'll check out those ones you mention. There were lots of good bands. Too bad it isn't replayable due to the fact that they did it through radio stations.George / NJ

Me too. Been so many awesome lady artists lately, esp in the general Americana vein... Some o' my faves:
Jenny Lewis (ex Rilo Kiley singer)
Phoebe Bridgers (okay, I might have a crush on Phoebe)
Neko Case (also in The New Pornographers, great band)
Soccer Mommy (has a 2020 record that's damn good)
Brandi Carlile
Highwomen
Kacey Musgraves
Sharon Van Etten
Molly Tuttle
Joy Williams
Caroline Spence
Ashley McBryde (kinda more like country, but shes's gritty and rockin' - Check out the tune 'Livin Next To Leroy')
I could do this all night lol ... Course I still play my old flames like Lucinda, Gillian, Patty Griffin, Emmylou, etc.
