On this date in 1957, John Lennon met Paul McCartney. Pivotal day in the history of rock & roll, indeed. Playing “John Lennon: Remember“. I think I got it at Starbucks a thousand lifetimes ago but a very good compilation. Working Class Hero alone worth the price of admission

I have the D1 with upgraded power supply. I like it a lot. I bet that X1 is great!

Sometimes I forget that I like it, but occasionally I have a second system set up without the streamer. Then I realize how much I miss it and how good it sounds. Sometimes it’s a sign of a good piece of equipment when you don’t even have to think about it being there.

My only complaint is that sometimes the app crashes when I navigate Tidal more quickly than it likes.

Dang I'm bummed I missed that! That whole stretch from Wood Bros to Tedeschi Trucks would've all floated my boat. I dig Steve Earle doing bluegrass, though I'd rather have heard an earlier set with Del McCoury band ... I lived in Quincy,CA for a few years as a kid in the 70's. It was pretty sweet actually.

Was a bit surprised to see neither Umphy's McGee or The Revivalists on the marquee, they've both played High Sierra recently. Look up Umphry's doing 'Can't You See' on the YT ... it's stellar.

If you've never heard the Revivalists, you should check 'em out. I have very similar taste to you and they're one my favorite new bands. Their 2015 "Men Amongst Mountains" is a top-to-bottom great disc.

Also ... Day One ... John Hiatt followed by Gillian & Dave ... an hour doesn't get much better than that ...

Umphrees McGee was 1:10am pst, 4:10am est on Fri., which cause me to miss it on the east coast. I'll check out those ones you mention. There were lots of good bands. Too bad it isn't replayable due to the fact that they did it through radio stations.
