SVS Ultra Bookshelf speaker review

Hey guys, check out my latest review that's just been published of the SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers! https://theaudiobeatnik.com/review-svs-ultra-bookshelf-speakers/

I really enjoyed certain elements of these speakers like the way they created a seamless wave of energy. However, the aluminum dome tweeter was a little bright in my small listening room. I could see these excelling in a heavily damped and/or larger room where the treble energy has a chance to spread out before hitting your ears. As mentioned, these would also be fantastic for a mixed use HT/music setup.

Hope you enjoy the review, and as always please share any feedback/critique so that I can continue to improve as a writer!

Very well written, you covered all the bases. If I ever move on from my floorstanders these would definitely warrant a lot of consideration.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

As always your reviews are insightful as I too have thought about trying these. Helps to have an objective yet professional review to lean on first.
    Good job Drew.

    Great review!

I guess a foam ring of a certain size around that tweeter could be an option for its glaring detail on certain musical tastes and /or for certain rooms too. Like JBL uses.

I too was curious about a review about the SVS speakers from somebody I know.
We ALL know their subs are AWSOME.

    Great job! ;)

Well, there's a speaker I don't need to hear. Thanks for that Drew. B)

A pair of vintage (old but functional) RTi10 in the HT - I was thinking of moving to S60s but that would almost be too lateral to spend money on. I also wondered about SVS's "other" speakers, maybe do a review of their towers next? LOL
And these would be almost 100% HT use, got the 2 ch room covered with a modded pair of 2Bs.

I bet the SVS towers would be pretty awesome for a HT only setup. Don’t they have a 45 day return policy with free shipping both ways? You could do your own review 😂

Nicely done, Drew. I see that you’re coming up on the one-year anniversary of your first review there.

I'm using a pair of SVS Ultra Surrounds (very similar) in my combination 2 channel HT setup... they are very versatile and match nicely with my Ushers... And they look nice in their piano black too.

Nicely written. I wonder if the svs pinnacle would be less bright and more musical since the tweeters are different.

Thanks Mikey. Been thinking about these for a while and thanks Drew for the great review and reminder of the Ultra Surrounds. Need to step up from these little fxi polks I've had for too long now.

Thanks Brian. I took a look at their site and all of their speakers seem to use the same 1" aluminum dome tweeter.
