Gotta love that when all of your homes in rehab are in the exterior phase. DOH!

No worries. I deal with it all the time. We have zero power over an act of God and there's nothing we can do about it, other than simply work around it when we can.

I will say this, with all of the rain we have been having, my lawn and gardens are beautiful this year. We will be planting more bushes and trees this weekend and last night, I went out to the shop to put together some perennial planters filled with all kinds of nature's goodies.

    Life is good.

Here is a link to my Tempest Weatherflow Personal Weather Station. If you check it out, you might notice that it's going to get a little toasty here in Western Colorado towards the end of next week.

If you have ever wondered what radar like this looks like in person in Florida watch the video. Took it last night. Be sure to turn the resolution up by clicking in the video on the 3 dots in the top right corner. Select 1440 60fps for best video.

I guess you cant up the resolution while viewing in the forum.

Copy and paste the phrase below into YouTube for best resolution. And you will have to still up the resolution manually.

For sure. Right after the video stopped it hit really close. I closed up the garage and went in side. It's a humbling experience when it's that close. I may have peed a little. 😬😬😬

my grass, which is usually one of the nicest around here looks like straw/hay right now. it's been very hot mid to high 30C then with the humidex in the 40sC. We get rain but it is only a couple of mm not enough to saturate the ground. Forget about watering it, my yard is too big to keep the sprinklers going . It would cost a fortune in water.

More rain here in Wilm. NC..

    Our yard looks great!

Plenty of rain this spring and early summer. I'm sure the HEAT >:) is coming though.

If you have dead splotches in your yard, it might be grubs eating at your lawn. I used spectracide yard insect killer a few years ago. I still had grubs a year or two later. I dove into the web and found out...Spectracide doesn't kill one grub at all. False advertising!
    1dbtkejg0c21.png

    U. of Michigan did a test and ONLY grub-EX kills grubs and some still survive anyway. But putting down grub-EX kills NEXT YEARS infestation. I couldn't stop last years dead patches, but it looks like what I put down last year has helped control the Grubs so far this year. :)

I put down some May 21st when I saw the first June Bugs hanging onto our back porch's screen door. I've been seeing more the past 3 weeks and they're bigger so I had some grub-EX left over so I put it down yesterday for good measure. Directions say to water it in. The rain will do that this weekend. B)
    pyid7vvdxrzo.png

This application only kills larvae that will try to grow during winter to wreck havoc on next years turf roots. I read it's hard to kill adult grubs with anything, but grub-EX is our best product so far for home-owners to kill those underground devils in their larvae stage.
What I spread over the lawn seems to be working this year. I'll be putting this grub-EX down every June for as long as I live. maybe my lawn will be a LAWN again.

Sorry for the rant. Rain can help our lawns for sure, but those d**n grubs can eat it like it's a fine salad to them. Not to mention the mole problem we've been having the past few years. Seems it's now Fire-ants that are the things to eradicate now. :s

Incoming storm packing 90 mph winds rolling in we rode it out for a while on the Deck but then went in the basement once it hit.

    zm889111fyq9.jpg
    gjjn1clol84k.jpg

It came fast snapped trees in half downed power lines and lucky for us we just cut down a big tree, a while back if we didn't there could of been a pretty good chance it would of ended up in the living room. It did leave some cool temperatures for today though the heat and humidity had been unbearable the past week. The 3rd picture was after it passed was a scary but interesting to watch pass. We rode that storm out.
