Monitor Series 2

Options
Hello All,
What is the trick in removing the face plate on the Monitor Series 2 bookshelf? I remove the two screws, but it won't budge.
Thanks,
Rick

Looks like 4 screw holes for the top area, 2 for the bottom. I believe you have to pry the plastic fronts off after removing the screws. The speakers aren't worth the effort.

Yeah, I know they aren't worth that much, but thought they would be good practice. Tried prying off the fronts, but not sure how without carving up the plastic trim.

Sorry about that. I bought them in about 1988.

Ok, now I understand: those are M3s. The label that reads monitor series 2 indicates the second generation of the Monitor series with there being many models within each generation, and in some cases, mid generation updates.
