    Marv,

Let me know if you want any expanded info. I have Tidal HiFi and Roon and use both extensively.
I also have hundreds if not thousands of CDs but the convenience of CD and better quality music in a digital streaming format is so nice.

I didn't try Tidal Premium but I do have Spotify premium. I didn't notice the jump in quality with hifi immediately in my system, but when the demo period ended I noticed it right away when going back to Spotify. I think your system will also dictate how much Tidal pays off. I prefer Spotify's platform, and that's still what I use in the car, at work, ear buds, etc. But I'll be keeping Tidal hifi for the main system.

No. Premium is 320kbps mp3 just like Spotify. Hifi is cd quality flac and MQA when available.

I have several thousands of CDs and other physical media the CD collection is rarely used except in the truck, besides SACD, DVD. And Blu Ray Audio discs, Flac Files I still listen to Tidal has pretty much made my CD collection non existant, Tidal scratches that itch along with saving me money from not buying them anymore.
