Step 1. Eat constantly, switching between sweet and savory snacks.*

Step 2. For the height adjustment, jump down an elevator shaft without bending your knees upon landing.

*Perform Step 1 prior to Step 2 for best results, or you might have to jump twice.

    Not any more.

ca. 1978 I weighed 296 (lbs, that is)
in 2012 I reached 157, and stayed there until about 18 months ago.
Currently 167. Not bad... but 157's better :|

No secret. Responsible eating (I used Weight Watchers to help -- the main value being accountability... I learned to "track" what I eat) and the love of a good woman.

I hate most forms of exercise, and I loathe exercise for its own sake. I do like to walk and to bike ride. We do our gardening by hand and that's pretty good exercise, too.

Avoid fad diets, IMO. From my perspective (as a biochemist, albeit not a nutritionist) virtually all of them are carefully constructed malnutrition. One will lose weight, but it's neither healthy nor sustainable.

Perhaps not surprisingly, I don't have many photos of Corpulent Marky. Here's one from 1980, at which point I was down around 250, if memory serves.

EDIT: I'm not obese, maybe a little overweight 5'-10" and 210 lbs. That calculates 30.1 BMI, over 30 they say is obese. I don't think I'll ever reach the desired 128-173lb. range suggested. I would feel real good at about 180-185.

well before I blew out my knee in the oilfield I was at 190 at 5’ 10” after my knee replacement back in 2012 I’m up to 265 not good. Thing is can’t run or do the thing’s I use to. I did tear my PCL in my right leg never got that fixed and as you would guess it’s giving me problems with swelling and fluid on the knee. But I did get down to 223 last year just by watching what I was eating. No Dairy products no fried foods no chips. Ate a lot of chicken, Fruits salads and fish it worked gotta do it again now Doctor is on my a s s now to lose weight.

If I didn't spend an hour a day 6 days a week doing cardio on my stairmaster I'd probably become "morbidly obese" during my annual winter layoff.

Got ya all beat. 5'8 250. Most of my life i was around 190 lbs but only 13% body fat. I was into weight lifting. 4 hernias, 2 rotator cuff, bicep, labrum surgeries and RRMS, stopped doing 3 hour workouts while eating the same + age, it came on fast.

This year i am changing it up a bit and stop eating like i need all that protein. I was at 275 but down to 250. I figure 80-90 to go.

Six two, 124lbs, lost 30 lbs due to health issues. Haven't been able to gain weight in a year, just can't catch a break.
2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.
