    If this amp operates like my mono blocks then you should be able to turn the lights off via one of the front panel switches.

    Yes, per the manual: • Illuminated Power Meters
    The Illuminated Power Output Watt Meters on the
    MC257 are peak responding, and indicate the true
    power output of the amplifier. The Front Panel Meter
    Illumination may be switched Off at any time.

    I'm pretty certain newer gen Mc amplifiers are Class AB. Still cool running as most SS Mc is known for.

    kind of hard putting highend and home theater together as it is costly.
    Aye tried it a few years back with a 150/300 (per channel) watt 6 channel power amp the the base (3 channel) amp was $7k plus and $1200 for each added channel. the thing had thee big power supplies and weighed 100 lbs, it was discontinued.
    i own one now but only have two channels in it.

    the question is will home theater guys pay this type of money along with the required upgrades to the rest of the system.

    I’m with ya Marv, admittedly I’m not a big HT guy. I’m happy with my Pioneer 9.2 receiver, and older Polk RT speakers. Maybe a SVS sub in the future, but that’s about it.
