I had a pair of those Yamahas. Sold them for 1K. Very revealing speakers. Will bring out any flaws in your system. I did not like them with classic rock or R&B. Probly better suited for classical or jazz? Very loyal following for them. They do some amazing rebuilds in Japan of them. Try them out and put back on the market if you don’t care for them?
    Good luck. D

^^^ I would like to hear a pair of those Sonys some time... they get so much good press with their owners (and folks that have just heard them).

We had a member here that had a pair and spoke highly of them. Yes I'd love to get ears on a pair. With my luck that day I did it would be powered by a entry level receiver. B)

I'd buy these just because they're one of the coolest looking designs I've seen on a speaker.

Based on the photos only (!) -- I see all miniatures and very few hifi tubes per se.
That Gemisch is heavily biased towards plinkers. Not a lot of value there -- unless, perhaps, the boxes are all full of, say, good, used Telefunken and Amperex dual triode pulls ;)

at 4" depth and 19" wide you can put them away when not in use and they dont take up much space.....

Heck, I'd love to get my ears on them.
