Streaming TV services.

Hello,
The major players are You Tube TV, Hulu TV, Direct TV Now and Sony View TV service. I have not tested these out myself but If I have nothing to do this weekend , I'm gonna start checking them out.
I'm sick and tired of Cable( Verizon) I got to play around with their new Box and the software is basically exactly the same except they added voice.
I think with the prices of streaming service vs cable service plus the cost of the rental boxes and for me renting the Router which creates a Mocha network for the Verizon cables boxes, going with a Streaming service will save me a ton of money per month.
The kicker is I don't watch Tv hardly at all. I watch a few shows and that's about it. Football during the season and everything else I pay for can just go away.

Who is using a TV streaming service and what has your experience been so Far?

There's also Playstation Vue and Sling TV.

Just be careful if you have a monthly data cap from your ISP when going to full streaming. With Comcast, for instance, it costs $50 a month to remove that data cap negating the savings. Which is what they want, anyway, for people to stay on cable so they can sell ads.

I have done Hulu, PlayStation, and youtubetv. Youtubetv is the best imho, the most like cable, very few issues, essentially limitless DVR, etc. they don’t include Viacom channels or AMC which sucks, but every package is missing something. They have most of what we want...

AMC has the Walking Dead and I don't watch that anymore so I could care less. I don't know what Viacom channels are. I'd have to look them up.
Youtube TV is where I'm leaning.

  • +1 for you tube TV. Over the years I’ve had sling, Hulu, PS Vue, fubo, DirecTv Now, and for the last two years or so YouTubeTv.

Cost aside, YouTube TV, is the very best there is, followed by DirecTV Now. But no support for YouTubeTV on the FireTV, if you are using one as your STB.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

That’s of course unless you sideload apps which is pretty easy if you have another android device.

I have Apple TV 4k boxes so I'm pretty much covered for anything I want to stream. I also have Sony TV's which have Andriod so if Apple TV doesn't have something I can go there. I have ARC setup if need be
