FR1 sub woofer won't find and connect to sound bar

Just bought a factory refurbished FR1 Soundbar and a sub woofer, purchased separately, and then I realized I needed the wireless dongle to pair them, so I bought it off Polk- but now all I get is a flashing green light on the dongle and sub woofer. I've tried holding down the sync button on dongle but, no go. The woofer flashes green for a while then goes to solid red and the green light on the dongle just keeps flashing- speeds up when I depress the sync button but never finds the woofer, can anyone help?

stonylonsome, it's 2024 and I have the same issue you had back in 2019, How did you resolve your issue? Should I call Polk and talk to a CS Rep to fix the issue?
