can you pretty please measure the height on your 706C please. I have about 1/2" above my CSiA6

Max height is 9.5" but that's with half inch rubber feet that come with it. Take those off you have a 9" tall speaker.

It tapers up to 9" from the very front edge and then tapers down to the rear of the cabinet. It's already down to 8.5" in height before you get half way back.

If a guy needed to, he could slide the 706 into the front of his cabinet with the very front of the face protruding out a bit...….it would be safe from falling since the majority of the speaker would be on the shelf.....and look at it this way, you would be avoiding any first order reflections....big time :D

FYI: If you plan on tilting the front up so it's pointing at the height of your ears, you have to add a little extra space. I had that trouble getting my CSi5 to fit under my TV. I ended up having to raise my TV because the center channel wasn't pointing upward enough.

Thought the idea was to have clearance of at least a couple inches around the front baffle from anything anyway.

Just get the 704 for $200. It’s timber matched to the 705s, your csi is not. A seamless front stage is what you want, even if it doesn’t dig quite as deep as the 706 or a6. Most of us crossover at 60 to 80 hz for movies anyway. I know for certain the 704 does just fine with the 705s.

You can always move it along.

How much can I sell my S60 for.

Reason I ask is I think I got the ok to get the 705. I would have to keep the CSI center.

I'm trying to sell my two S55's and S30 for $500 on a local neighborhood site and Facebook Marketplace.

The lowest price I found online for refurnished was $219 for the S55"s and $199 for the S30.

Congrats on getting a pair of 705's.

I picked up my bedroom system S55's for $250. Used, but only a couple months old.
That asking price might be a stretch.

I got them earlier this year. Thanks for the info. I'll give it a few days and if no action, I'll lower the price.

These Adorama prices make me nervous for the future flagship Polk coming our way. How many here are willing to pay full retail, knowing that in a very short period of time, they will be sold for these ridiculous prices....

I agree. These new LSiM speakers are selling at used prices or thereabouts.
I picked up the 706c myself but want to get a pair of 702F/X if they drop them more.

If the new line is premium priced, serious buyers may be nervous about the future resale market if Sound United clears them at fire sale prices at the end run.

The LSiM have been out for 10 years, and very few on here bought them for full price, always waiting for the friends and family sales to jump on board. Then B*tched when they started selling them at Adorama, but were scooping them up right and left! You can't have it both ways and you shouldn't be hypocrites. If you were truly interested in them and wanted them to maintain their value, you should have been willing to pay full price for them.

D2Lo even said so 3 years ago.

"What I'm trying to say more directly is that if you guys bought LSiM's at full price from retailers we would have had a new line there already! But that is OK. That data point gives us some statistical balance to what is verbally said here and helps us to know we need to work harder to make our products even more compelling. We definitely feel it is important for us to make statement pieces to keep our loyal fans excited, but also because it is the product that our design and engineering teams also want to work on and many of our employees want to have in their homes! The team and I are already working on the next line. As Skip said, Signature sounds incredible for the price. Great sound at an affordable price. That is our product mantra. And if we get the chance to work on a higher end line, we will still keep that promise relative to other products in the price class. The timetable to do the R&D on that type of line is much longer and more expensive as you could imagine. So in the same way that T Series enabled us to do the R&D on Signature, think of Signature as helping to fund the next product line."

I don't think its far off. There is a pretty large delta between the S55 and S60 price-wise and it includes the center channel.

He is also selling S55s Skip.

Polk is the not first or the last to close out speakers at the end of the line. However, there are so many players in the $2500-$5000 a pair speaker game today. Due to modern technologies, many are able to make a good sounding speaker today. If Polk is going to release a line that will top the LSiM at the same or higher price, they will need to shake up the industry with its design and performance value, create some effective marketing, and retail presence.

The cheapest I found a new pair of new S55's was $468.00 and the new S30 was $199.00. I dropped the price to $450 for all and I'll see how that goes.

I'm not going to be in a rush to sell my S60, wife wants me to sell them but I think they will make a good zone 2 full range speaker.

My 705's are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Odd though, one tracking show it to be at the UPS hub in Chula Vista, the other tracking shows it's still in Louisville. I just hope they both get here tomorrow in one piece. I am calling out from work so I can be here to sign for them.

Both are now at the Chula Vista hub two blocks away. The 2nd didn't arrive in San Diego till 5am this morning. Strange both left NJ at the same time but arrive here 12 hours apart.

I'm now like a kid waiting to open Christmas presents. I've never owned speakers this nice.

A few years back...mine were sent "signature required". Well the UPS guy delivered one while I was not home.

He showed up the next day when I was home and had me sign for the other one. I asked why he left the one on my front step without a signature the day before, and he said, "Well, only the sticker on the one box said signature required".

I filed on the deadline, only to receive a notice for more information regarding medical insurance confirmation. All this delayed my refund. Bummer.
