I have a F-150 reg cab with one DB104 behind the seat downfiring in a sealed box. The internal volume is .80 cubic ft. I have a MTX RT2200 amp pushing 280 watts to the sub. At higher levels the sub makes a bottoming out noise. This sub is about 5 or 6 years old and I've never had a sub long enough to blow one. Is this sub going bad, or could it be something else?

You're clipping the signal. So yea, turn it down. It doesn't have to do with the sub either... if you want to, get an amp with more power.
