Watch it closely. I ended up with a perforated colon due to diverticulitis. Has been a total nightmare with life altering results.

Will be praying for you. Had a friend with diverticulitis. He made a complete recovery, but it was quite an ordeal.

John's pharts could now drop a charging rhino at 60 yards. I've heard tell abouts the way he burnt down half the state just by eating a bowl of Rice Krispies once.
Folks weren't praying for John then....they were praying for relief from him.

I am dealing with a severe case of Diverticulitis, and am experiencing all the symptoms. Severe lower stomach pain, constipation hot and cold flashes... the works. I will be going to go to my urgent care in the morning, and I fear the worst, which will be going through the same type of surgery/recovery as Motörhead... I don’t have more info than this right now, but it has been debilitating pain now for 36 hours...

Thanks guys, we all have seen the power of prayer this week, maybe there is just a bit more out there...

Dear Lord, please reach out to your son John, our dear brother and friend, and bestow upon him your wonderful and amazing powers of healing.

We love John, as you do, please help him in his time of need. Amen.

John, get well soon with the blessings from our Lord.

Good eating is one of the keys to improving. No seeds. Seek less stress and more music.

I have suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for many years, and I know your pain is greater based on seeing two of my best friends hospitalized for diverticulitis.

I take a Hyoscyamine pill before each meal and at bedtime. If I meander off my good eating regiment or skip meds for a few days, pain visits. All of us can have pouches called diverticula as we age. The problem occurs when inflamed or infected.

Feeling a bit better with the antibiotics kicking in, but I know they can only take care of what is right now. A trip to the doctor is needed to find out why and what I have to do to keep this from happening again.

Prayers sent. I had a bout with that years ago. I was eating a lot of popcorn everyday. It got to the point where I couldn't stand upright I was in so much pain! Luckily it cleared up,and it hasn't reared its ugly head since. Best of luck!

Change your diet, is most likely what a Doc would tell you. The antibiotics you took have wiped out your good gut flora now for about a year. You have to build that back up. If given the opportunity, your body can be self healing with most things. Key there is "given the opportunity", which requires you to make some changes.

Which btw, count yourself lucky because you live in a part of the country that has some of the best choices available. Good seafood, fresh veggies....nice wines, so many organic choices. Plus your wife is Asian, she knows a thing or 2 about fermented foods.

You have lots of tools at your disposal John, use them.
