My speaker (LS70) came with SL 6000. I found a SL6500 with a tag that says LS-FX) my gut feeling says it would be fine... I doubt there are many variations....

FWIW. I replaced the SL 6000 tweeters, in my LS70's, with SL 6001's. The swap worked fine. I think the only difference between the two is that the latter has a humbucker magnet attached to it. Beyond that I've heard of no other tweeters that might serve as a replacement. Good luck with this.

Hello. I’m trying to find (and purchase) replacement tweeters for my Dads LS 90s.
It looks like SL6000 or SL6001s will apply.
    Where to buy ?
    Thanks

eBay is likely your only option.

I was speaking with a guy in the US not too long ago and he mentioned that Polk themselves had the tweeter in stock and he bought two, so maybe give them a call. This was a couple months back but it's worth a shot.

FYI, I called - Polk checked inventory with no result and then said eBay was my best bet.

As per what Ken said in this thread, the RD6517-1 is a suitable replacement for the SL6001 and 6501... I know you need the SL6000 and SL6500, but perhaps they're interchangeable? Maybe someone could chime in if they know for sure?
