SDA 1C's in Elgin, Oklahoma, with RD0-194's, sound deadening in the cabinets, spikes and who knows what else. Currently $150 on the bay, but I bet a reserve has not been met. No affiliation, but some one here needs to get these.

I wonder what "extreme water damage and rotting away" means? I don't see any extreme water damage from the pictures.

It is a novel idea. Unfortunately I have a feeling they screwed up the sound. You just cant stick the same speakers in box and expect it to sound as good as the system Polk originally engineered.
But this has potential. What is wrong with taking an original monitor series speaker and adding some exterior trim? Might help with the wife acceptance factor.

Hey Festivus, I'm sure others will chime in, but there was I believe a B/B version of the 1C! IIRC, my 1st set of 1C's, of which @westmassguy modded for me, was a transitional version of the 1C, which had the B/B.

Those are the studio 1C's Should still be (I believe) PB version. Not as pretty as the non-studio version with the oak caps in my opinion but still VERY NICEGustard X26 Pro DAC
