Finally... I’m student loan free

Options
Finally, after the urging from my wife, I paid off my student loans.

It was scary pressing the “pay” button as I was just content paying double of the required each month for the next 8 years.

But in the end, the wife made sense. Get rid of the 4.75% debt now.

Started with $300,000 between me and my wife.

Finally... phew.

Smart move... we bought our house in Indiana so we could get the in-state tuition. Because of that, she got her doctorate with zero student debt.

Congrats to you on the early payoff and saving yourself untold thousands of $$ on interest!! I'm betting this feels similar to an early payoff of a mortgage which also is a great feeling.

Congrats to you Joey for not bucking-out on your commitment on your student loans. You deserve a pair of new sub-base systems. I have known many who just said F-it and did not pay. Hurts those future students in the long run.

Congrats Joey... and now you can focus on that dream system. Speaking of work... about now...aren't you glad you didn't take that position in Ohio? Seems a might chilly up there compared to DFW area.

Fantastic! Starting February 1st, you can start saving 95% of your free income to send your kids to college. :p

Congratulations, Joey. It took my ex decades to pay off her masters and doctorate. It is great to have that burden removed. :)

Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. Yes!

    For the kids.

My wife plays but I want to see how the 3 kids take it.

We are looking at closing the deal on a baby grand with a player and silent and recording.
