I wonder if the Cb's are also included on that price? If i lived closer, i would sell my 3.1's for them if they work properly.

I've actually emailed about them with that very same question. Haven't heard back yet.

Well, I would be all over them but there are a few things that would hold me back.
    1. I don't really have the room for them.
    2. Cost to upgrade them would be more (more tweeters, caps, ect).
    3. Spending more money when I just went in for a dreadnaught.
    4. Respect for the Mrs. who has already been pretty good with this hobby of mine and all the stereo stuff I have purchased.
    5. Other updates to the home my wife wants to have done in the house that I see are a higher priority for her (and the kiddos).
    6. I'm already extremely happy with the 3.1s (and a set of 2Bs)
    7. Anything bigger would probably be too much in my room.
If I didn't have any SDAs and was looking, then I probably would be all over these. Guess my level of hoarding isn't the same as some others here.

For those that can snag these, this looks like a pretty good deal. They might not show up on people's radar as there is no mention of "SDA" in the ad.

$620 for a pair of 2.3TLs that look to be in excellent condition. No affiliation. If I didn't have 3.1TLs I might be tempted.

That was what I did a few years back. I had some 3.1tl's which I was perfectly happy with when some 2.3tl's became available. As nice as the 3.1tl's are, the 2.3tl"s were a BIG step up, IMHO. I sold the 3.1's which helped fund the upgrade journey. I have never once second guessed the decision to move up the SDA line.

    We don't hoard, we COLLECT.

I don't think any of us have stepped on/over speakers to get anywhere.

    YET. :)

I was going to start a Polk Museum years ago but my health pain got bad and I got side-tracked with buying other brands of speakers BIG TIME.

But I still have enough Polk Audio speakers for a carnival side show! :p:)B)

Betwixt you, me and one or 2 other members, that could be a real possibility. Personally, I'm only missing literally a handful of models to have a complete early model lineup (4, 4.5, ported 5jr, 12, RTA 15TL). Missing a few more of the SDAs.

You guys have issues. How did you guys get so deep into speakers?
I have two pairs and it kinda bothers me.

I've owned the RTA-15s, but I don't know if it was the TL model. I think it was.

I've never owned the 12s but like I said a month ago, I had a chance but no spare money to really buy them.

I own a 4 now or a 4.5. That little pair sounds great to me!

    I've owned the 5jr.. I own the 5 now.

I had 2 pairs of 7s I believe but sold them like an idiot. :s

Yes, that's all I have right now. Typically if I buy a new pair I'll sell a pair to keep the clutter at a minimum.

All in all I've probably had about a dozen pairs of polks.

@krazypolk I understand. You actually may have control over the ‘addiction’. I unfortunately don’t. Have 4 pairs of Klipsch, pair of Marantz, Zu omen DW’s, 3 pairs of Polks and on the hunt for more SDA’s and possibly a new wife if she finds out I’m still searching !! Don’t want to part with any of them.

Hahaha. As a matter of fact I use that avatar because it reminds me of a pair of heels she keeps in the closet but says she’s not young enough to wear anymore. Calls them her ‘ol hooker’ heels. They certainly got my attention. ;);)
