S10 or S15

Happy Monday :)

So I was thinking of being nice to myself for Christmas.

I currently have T15 as my surrounds. I was thinking of changing them with S10's but right now I can go for S15's for the same price on Amazon.

Would the S15 be that much better than the S10 at surround duty? How much better would either be over the T15 for surrounds.

Other thing to consider is WAF how much more of a standout are these over my current T15?

Here is my current setup of T15

Hi mrloren. Having had all three that you mentioned, if space and the wife permits, go with the S15s. The difference between either the s10 or s15 to the T15 is night and day...even on surround duty. However, I believe you will have a more seamless surround stage with the s15 IMO. On the other hand, if space is really a premium the S10 will do. Either way, they are a significant step up from the T15.

Definitely a better speaker, and the teddy bear would get to sit about an inch and a half higher.

Yeah, I think Friday there will be S15's in my house. One thing I am worried about is the one on the left sticking out too much. One on the book shelf is fine but that wall space can run out quick.

Well I thought I would have S15's today.

Both my kids were home most of the day. Amazon tracking says "Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident." My oldest was washing her car at the time this say's it was delivered.

Darn Amazon driver made off with my speakers. I called Amazon they are now reshipping them, should be here on Sunday.

So Amazon drivers are putting the porch thieves out by grubbing packages themselves.

Gyah! The worst part is looking forward to them, then having to suffer the disappointment of having to wait longer.

Wonder if maybe just a misdelivery. You got any streets near you with the same numbering? Might be a good idea to go shine a light in a few neighbors windows to see if you can locate them. Could be an honest mistake. Be sure to wait until around 2am so as not to disturb anyone.

To many cops and Cartel in the neighborhood to do that.

I would think it was an honest mistake but when they delivered my XPA3 the driver said he only had one package. I had to argue for him to open the back and hand it over. I did complain to Amazon about that too.

On Monday the local news had a story where the Amazon driver dropped the package on the porch took the picture then picked it up and left. Maybe he should have looked for the security camera first. Might be why they were so agreeable to just send a new pair. Now they will be here Sunday.

    BTW; Where you been Scott?

Received the S15 today. I meet the Amazon driver at the door. I asked if he was the one delivering on Friday and he gave me a little attitude. I asked who did he leave my package with, and just a dirty look.

So I installed the S15, I was only able to run through the ATMOS demo and yeah big difference. I will run Audyssey this week after work when I have the house to myself.

Not much taller or wider and the wife didn't notice yet :) the do sound a lot better.

I will also walk around the neighborhood tomorrow morning, See if anyone has an S15 box sticking out of the recycle bin.

Amazon delivery drivers/people can be a nightmare. They were leaving packages on the sidewalk in front of our building because they couldn't figure out how to get into the building. UPS, USPS, & FedEx tend to be more professional & reliable.

Glad you finally got your S15's!!

Hey mrloren. That sucks you had that mishap, but I'm glad you eventually got them. You'll definitely notice a difference once you got them dialed in. To bad you don't have the room for the 20's ;)

S20 can't be wall mounted. the one on the left is wall mounted, I didn't even have to move the screw from the T15.

I have a set of S20 as mains on the bedroom HT. Nice speakers.

I thought so too. I had some Amazon cards so why not. Also during action movies the T15 were getting over powered by the rest of the system.

After a few movies the S15 are a blast. A lot better than the T15 in all areas.

My wife for some reason has never watched Forest Gump. We watched it last night, for a 1994 movie the sound was still in DTS-HD Master. Just awesome. That with a Bad Santa made for a good Christmas evening.
