Found your package Doc....might be delayed some. :)

    :)

As an aside, is there any truth to the rumour that Tesla is going to start installing monoprice vacuum tube amplifiers in their top-end vehicles?

They must have outsourced parts of their power supply to Monoprice, by the looks of things.

Most likely too, a blind guy wrote the software for the auto pilot. :)

    Exciting times.

Have you decided what speakers you're going to try with it first? Maybe those AMT Daytons?

I'd start with some super cheap Sonys so you dont cook something, as this is the first time its ever been plugged in.

Yeah I suppose, it could be DOA or something and take out whatever speakers are hooked up to it.

    Check out the Daytons, they're only $50/pair : https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-b652-air-6-1-2-2-way-bookshelf-speaker-with-amt-tweeter-pair--300-651

No, they're quite reasonably priced -- they are not well made, but they sound pretty decent. The little "AMT" tweeter is very pleasant-sounding, IMO.

The poly-cone woofers are kinda cheezy, though.

That's a big 10-4... although I am really not a terminal snob, as all y'all have probably gleaned by now.

Spring clips don’t bother me too much. A lot of vintage gear has them, and unless they are the cheapest of cheap, they are fairly durable. I much prefer them over 5 ways if I am using bare wire, just because it is easier to do. That said, I prefer 5 ways if I’m using any other method of connection.

To quote Jennings from Animal House.
    (albeit somewhat out of context)
    It's a distinct possibility.
