Is this player any good? I don’t have much experience with Oppo. One of my friends is trying to get rid of one for $200.

If it makes any difference, it’s called a “Darbee” edition.

Anyone here have this player and have experience with it?

That’s almost give away price provided its in decent shape.

IMO Oppo has more of a clinical sound for audio, but very good. Really nice VQ, and supposedly even better with the darbee (mine was just the regular version)

More than excellent price for that Darbee edition. There are a number of them on the 'gon' for $900 and up. Steal it now, before he changes his mind.

He’s throwing a bunch of stuff in the deal so I gotta buy the whole lot to score the Oppo at $200.

    PS Audio direct stream
    PS Audio memory player transport
AudioQuest Diamond HDMI for the ps audios
    PS Audio noise harvesters x5
    Audioquest wel power cord x2
150 feet of Audioquest type 4 speaker cable
    Audioquest Black mamba subwoofer cable
Bryston BIT15 power conditioner w surge protect

    Plus the Oppo

I wasn’t looking at all that stuff but I guess I have to bite

If anyone is interested in any of the above let me know.

    Cool.

I will keep the wel power cords.

The Oppo I’m not sure but at $200 that’s a hard one for me to get rid of plus I could use a good source in my gameroom.

The bryston bit15 is a $2500 power conditioner based on Torus RM15, so I gotta try that out.

I’m not sure what use I have of the direct stream.

It’ll sell for the lowest price on a used unit. I forget what audiogon has it listed for. Would sell the stack. Plus it had the $1000 AQ Diamond hdmi between it.

    What’s the audiogon current price?

I think Joey needs to just create a for sale thread. Put us in line as we have expressed interest and go from there.

I'll probably take the sub cable, too, Joey if you don't have a need for it and it isn't already spoken for.

Hopefully I'm still in line. As per our conversation, if you pass on the Directstream DAC and Memory Player I'll take it.

This is for reference so people don't think I'm trying to pull a fast one.

If the sub cable isn't spoken for I'll take it as well.

This is not how we do things here and Joey you know that.

I also know you know how to look around the Net to check the prices gear is selling for.
