Polk. My RS-II didn’t really do very well with rock and roll at all.

They do good with vocals and instruments though

Perhaps... I miss the Magnepan MG20's I had, but they lacked the punch the Polks have.

Oooo that isolation cable is worth 100.00

and it's already in the bag because he can't use it with his tweeters.

Tweeters have nothing to do with that cable and it is designed for 2.3's which all are pin/blade designs.

Wrong again junior you see if you remove the cable you can use sl2500's I tried it on my sda2's. If you connect the cable the tweeters get totally screwy.

    Hmmmm
    I think somethings wonkie .......
The cable has nothing to do with the tweeters. The tweeters are not in the SDA circuit not since there was blade/blade cable and dimensional tweeters.

The AI-1 cable was made for all pin/blade SDA's whether or not the had sl2000,sl2500 or sl3000 tweeters
That cable could also be used on a select few blade/blade speakers with the proper adaptor piece. Once again none had dimensional tweeters.

If you used it on SDA2 speakers with the dimensional tweeters i bet it did get wonkie since they are a Blade/blade design and that cable was never made to be used with those to begin with since both blades carry a larger bandwidth signal that the pin/blade does not.

    Try again.

You are comparing apples to oranges... SRS 2.3's don't have the wonky SDA tweeters like early SDA 2's do.

Mathew Polk stopped using dimensional tweeters after producing the early SDA's like you have. He did it for a good reason too.

When discussing 2.3's the tweeters have nothing to do with the interconnect cable, just like I previously stated....

I'm not saying it's perfect at all but it makes music if you have destroyed 2000's for example.

My question is why. SL2000's aren't hard to find, I have well over a dozen of them just laying around in boxes.

The SL2500 is not the correct upgrade for the SL2000, and they are not compatible with your crossover.

They are your speakers however and you are free to do whatever you'd like to with them.

70's were the ugly stepchild of the LS series IMO. The larger drivers sounded bloated, midrange not as smooth as the 90's and 50's.
