At the very least to part them out and sell me the passives. Then they could have 8 MW6503's and a pair of SL2500's left over. :)

They're rare enough that parting them out would be a crime.

Agreed! I never advocate parting out working speakers, especially rare ones...

A little pricey imo, but hey it's all about location and availability.

Look closer, they are pin/blades. The price isn't that bad if the drive isn't too far.

You're right, jumped the gun on that, my bad. I didn't look closely enough.

Well, according to TonyB, 9 bones = $900, so 900 bones would equal $81,000. Therefore, my answer is: "No, that isn't a fair price."

I'm not the one you need to "pull that on". I wouldn't dream of saying "bones". Or "large" for "one thousand". I had never heard it or seen it before he used it recently, so I was doing my calculations based on his usage. I do, however, stand by my claim that $81,000 for ANY Polk speaker is too much. B)

Fair enough. I must have applied the math to that incorrectly. I still think that is too (not "to", not "two") much. Even one large grand bone, and I do believe any dog would agree. :p
  • Agreed. $900 is too much for 2.3's... although I practically stole mine for $450 (or was it $400?, hmm, it was several years ago), with the originals boxes, in mint condition...

I was saying that $90,000 was too much. I don't know much about 2.3's. I know more about the TL version because that is what I have. Is this "bone" business a sexual thing or is it more of a caveman/trading thing?

One time on Scooby-Doo, a skeleton was cackling and Shaggy told him to "clam up". I think you are onto something. Hey, are you a doctor, by the way? :p
