Released this date in 1971. I was at a "Luther League" convention in about ninth grade or something, around the time of confirmation, staying in cabins with other youth. Some guy had a battery-powered record player and we played this album for three straight days. I figured I was going to burst into a ball of flame but couldn't resist. Lol. Now I am a confirmed neo-pagan. Fairies wear boots, yeah, you gotta believe me....

Agree. I first saw Duke with Roomful of Blues mid-70's and have followed him since. Some of his style journeys are not my cup of tea. But he invariably explores any idiom completely and challenges you to expand your appreciation of it.
Check out the album "Guitar Groove-A-Rama" and especially his walk through electric blues styling history on "Blues-A-Rama". Outstanding. -
