HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE !
Our Japanese Maple behind our house has been giving us a colorful show for years now. My camera seems to be highlighting the reds of these trees this year. They have been extra RED this year though.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
I bought it in 96 from an elderly man down the road from me. He had it a year and drove back and forth to Raleigh NC. quite often he said.
The truck had 12,000 on it when I bought it in 96. It was so clean I thought maybe he was hiding something. He said he just had it detailed , that's all. It was spotless when I bought it.
Well, it's been sitting pretty much there in my back yard since I bought it. I used to wax it twice in the spring, twice in the fall. I even waxed the rims twice each time too. I would drive a couple of miles every so often to keep the fluids circulated. One year I only drove it 60 miles.
The past few years I've been really low health wise and only had the energy to wash it and maybe get one coat of wax on it per year. I missed this fall's waxing but I did get a good washing in..
I'm feeling a lot better now compared to 3 years ago for sure. I hope to getting back to my old routine this spring. Maybe only one coat of wax in the spring and one coat in the fall from here on out.
It's been a great truck for me all these years. It still drives like new except there's a braking problem. High speed braking causes a shutter. I need to have it fixed in 2018.
My neighbors always tell me " Man that truck still looks brand new ! "
I wish I had built a car / truck shed for it. But woodworking was more important and the barn shed holds a lot of woodworking tools and oak wood and other materials that I won't use soon enough so it stays for the storage. The City says only 3 outbuildings per property, so I'm full on that count.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
If it's 2wd, just get some new rotors for it, as the current ones are likely pitted due to sitting. If it's 4wd, an on car lathe is the quick solution to get a perfect result. In either case, new pads must be used to maintain the end result.

Hi Tony,
Happy New Year and I'm glad you are feeling better! I just saw your post (I have not been on here in years). That's a very nice truck, indeed. I assume it's a '95? If your state is like mine, you get an antique license plate at 25 years? I plan to do that with my '95 Dodge Ram. Your braking issue is probably the front rotors as mentioned. It less likely but it could also be the rear brake drums or some aged rubber bushings/parts in the front steering or suspension. I agree with sticking to DOT3/4 fluid. I did use the silicon fluid on the TR6 but it's kind of an involved process that I will not hassle with on the Dodge which I bought new at the end of 94. Like your truck, mine also has 35,000 miles. I drove it 13,000 miles the first year and the rest over the next 22 years. I used it to pull a boat and such. It's been in a garage it's whole life. I have flushed the brakes and the cooling system three times and replaced the battery twice since 94. A couple of months ago, I replaced the water pump and radiator hoses. That's it as far as things outside the scope of regular maintenance. Here's a couple of pics taken 2 months ago after replacing the water pump. Best of luck with your truck.
That's it in '95. Oh to be young again...
The original paint, wheels, Michelin tires....That Duralast battery lasted for 17 years with a harbor freight battery tender on it the whole time.

Your truck looks just like it did in 95. NICE !
That's one Beautiful 94 Dodge Ram " long Bed " you have there.
I too like a long bed so I can haul plywood,16' lumber and furniture too in it.
Your engine bay is spotless ! NICE.
Mine gets mold growth being outside and under a tree somewhat. I use "Awesome Cleaner" from Dollar Tree to get rid of it and use that cleaner on my cars / trucks door jambs and the trunk rims.
About every 2 years I have to clean the vehicles with it. I also clean porch posts and railings and other outdoor surfaces with it too. The stains disappear almost before my eyes.
I was going to check out the front bushings on the steering linkage too. Just like you suggest. My neighbor and I replaced the stabilizer bushings years ago. They are still fine.
I did have a brake pad stick on the rear driver-side tire 5 months ago. The rim got hot and the smell of brake pad was obvious. Since then the brake has either worked fine or not at all. Maybe the rotor on the rear DS tire got warped when the brake got stuck
that time. I did have all the brakes, rotors and pads and seals replaced a year or 2 ago. I think the plunger on that rear wheel break seal is a part of that problem that definitely needs to be addressed .
Isn't it amazing how abused some vehicles get. I know trucks are meant to be used. But abused....I don't see how they get trashed so bad sometimes.
My Ford F-150 is a 95.
The original "Good Year"tires dry rotted and then the second set of cheap "Good Year"s dry rotted too. These new "B. F. Goodrich's" are awesome tires ! So far so good. And these new tires give a heck of a lot better ride than the GY's that it's like night and day difference.
Happy New Year to you.

@nbrowser , yes it is.
It has 35,500 on it now.

I thought it was a rotor myself.
A neighbor told me to get some new synthetic ( ? ) brake fluid to replace the old stuff.

Looks beautiful to me.
Got to 30 degrees F at our house today, though... we get, like a two day reprieve; high Saturday is s'posed to be minus six. Yay.
mrbiron is gonna get hammahed by snow tomorrow, though
Grown in our back yard & harvested by Mrs. H this past season.
Tonight, it was microwaved, bisected, and consumed.
What a weird agglomeration of potato-flesh, eh?
It's gonna get a we bit cold over the next 72 hours
Stay warm up there in God's country.
'Twas the high today.....
It looks like Snoopy "romancing" Woodstock.
Wow Russ... 131 degrees... hope you stayed hydrated!
I think Mrs. H is burying more than potato's in that garden. Just to double check, have you seen your normal mailman lately ?
