Lol! Yeah, weren't we all once? I'm the same age as Billy and have been a big fan for 45+ years. His guitar play is understated elegance. Dusty and Frank are the best rhythm section out there. I'm a lover of 3-piece blues and blues/rock (ala Hendrix original Experience, SRV and Double Trouble before Reese, etc). ZZ Top is solidly in that company IMHO.

I've been listening to ZZ Top for roughly the same time period, Tres Hombres was a real big hit in high school, all my friends played it and I still think Hot, Blue and Righteous is one of the best slow blues of all time. I've heard some of the CDs were remixed and sound bright, ALL my ZZ Top is vinyl so I don't care.
