@nbrowser You should buy the original version on HDCD that hasn't been molested by Mustaine. The 2004 remaster/remixes by him are a travesty.

Lol! Yeah, weren't we all once? I'm the same age as Billy and have been a big fan for 45+ years. His guitar play is understated elegance. Dusty and Frank are the best rhythm section out there. I'm a lover of 3-piece blues and blues/rock (ala Hendrix original Experience, SRV and Double Trouble before Reese, etc). ZZ Top is solidly in that company IMHO.

You got that right! I've been listening to ZZ Top for roughly the same time period, Tres Hombres was a real big hit in high school, all my friends played it and I still think Hot, Blue and Righteous is one of the best slow blues of all time. I've heard some of the CDs were remixed and sound bright, ALL my ZZ Top is vinyl so I don't care.
