Think those are worth a 5 hour round trip?

    Easily. I did 26 hours for 2B's, I'd do 5 hours for 3.1's without a second thought.

Thanks. Spoke with the guy via email, going to check them out on Saturday.

    I drove 2 for mine.
If you are going to look a possibly buy take a friend because they are heavy....... GL! I love mine! ;)

He will have a set of rings.. B)

Oh and they came with the original stands... B)
  • I want/need some CRS stands, along with several others I have read. One of you metal working men should get a group buy going for CRS stands, clones of the originals. I would buy a set.
I am a woodworker, cabinets and furniture usually. I considered making my own from wood, but it would have to be designed differently. I think steel is the way to go here, or maybe wood with steel skeleton on the inside.

Get a list going, and I will see if it's worth doing. The more I can build at one time will help with cost, but shipping will cost so keep that in mind...
  • Awesome. Thanks. I will get a thread started to see if there is any interest.
  • Toolfan66, I started a feeler thread in the vintage speaker forum to gauge the interest/possible buyers.

In fact, I sold him 3 pairs of SDA's. ;)

Thanks! The biggest sound difference to me, not ever hearing anything TL, is the tweeters are way smoother than the 1c's. Don't know which ones the 3.1's have now, but look forward to the 198's down the road. Also a lot of very low bass. I may have to dynamat my whole rack. :)
