Speaking of quiet........have you noticed that nothing of interest/importance is scheduled for Thursday night TV anymore? What happened to this being the biggest night of each week for the prime slots for entertainment. Everyone begged to get put on "Must see TV" on Thursday nights. Seinfeld, ER, Cosby Show, Cheers, Friends, then later on The Office, 30 Rock, etc. carried the banner for Thursday night programming. Broadcast TV during the week has gone to the dogs. Only the live events like football, awards shows etc. make the grade anymore.

TV? It's all about Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, etc. now. Watch what you want when you want.

I understand that, I DVR everything worth watching and binge on the seasons of shows of interest that I failed to catch when they were coming up. I can't seem to get the wife to cut the cord on cable yet as current news and random noise on as she does stuff around the house is mindless and unplanned, whereas streaming is more active in her mind. She does stream Netflix on occasion for background too but that is on her iPhone 6+ carried around.

Love Vikings too. Regular network shows are so blah. Sleepy Hollow started back up, Lucifer isn't too bad but every show is the same it seems.

I agree with Dennis, weekly shows suck in general. Maybe that's a good thing, get our rear ends off the couch and do something positive.

Sleepy hollow is a real cute show, good chemistry. The Originals is excellent if you like vampires LOL. Also started watching Outsiders.

So the reason it's so quiet here is the Forum is a shell of what it used to be. I can skip logging in for days and catch up in about 5 minutes. In the old days if you missed 3-4 days, it would take awhile to get caught up.

Yes, our time is being fragmented by more and more things.................means less time to hang out here.

Valid point my friend. If you didn't stay on top of things, you would have missed some good keyboard fights and troll bashing. Not so much these days.

But, I'm still grateful the forum is here and we are trodding along. Everything evolves for better or worse.

The powers that took over could have just axed the forum, I'm glad they didn't, but these days are different than the old days.

Isn't Kaley Cuoko on Thursday nights? She's worth tuning in for. Big Bang Theory isn't quite as funny as it was, but still they have their moments and I enjoy the show a lot!

Yep....especially Carol Burnett, one of the funniest variety shows ever. Most the big names back then at one time or another had their own shows. Jackie Gleason, Red Skelton, Dean Martin....all good in their own ways.

Funny thing was, we had what, like 5 channels back then and we could find something to watch. Today we have 250 channels of B.S......and we pay good money for it too.

Hence the saying...." I forgot more than you know". lol

I do the same, bury some old memories to make room for the new. Maybe us old farts are just in need of a hard drive upgrade. What really jogs my memory banks is smells. For some reason if I smell something I haven't in a long time, those memories come rushing back. A booze and smoke filled bar, a bakery or deli, etc. You'd think they'd all smell the same, but they don't.
