That's not it. We've always tried to have an audio family type forum here, which fosters get togethers many of which aren't posted on the forum. Folks tend to figure out who is local to them, one thing leads to another and the next thing you know you're hanging out at someone's house.

Then we have a thing called Polkfest, which this year will be held in Baltimore. Stayed tuned for more on that event.

Actually my post was a feeble attempt at sarcasm. The point I wanted to make was actually a positive comment on this community, with people actively looking to meet vs. trashing each other on the boards.
In fact, I discussed the meet up with a fellow Polkie just yesterday. I stopped by to check out some gear and we ended up doing business.

Gentlemen these meets don't come up often enough IMHO, so when they do come up I encourage you to go. They are a lot of fun, educational, and great to meet the fellows in your hobby....I have made some really close friendships.

We all complain about getting our ears on gear since the fall of BOM stores, this is good way to bridge the gap.

I'll leave it up to you and William. I'm the noobie with no budget, so just looking to be a fly on the wall and learn from the pros! Sundays usually work pretty well, so whatever works for you both.

Date has been picked thanks to the good folks at Backert Labs... Sunday March 20th will be the date. I encourage al that can attend to be here, as there will be some great gear, food on the barbie, and some beer as well. Two rooms in my home will be available for setting up systems. I see this as starting around 11 am and going until 6 or whatever.

Those attending or thinking of doing so, pm me with your phone number if you would like to discuss

Thanks I can probably ask for the day off, I wouldn't want to miss it, although anytime I take a day off I want to attach it to my regular days off so that is like the middle of the week for me. I work ten days on and four off.

Sorry to hear about that. I have been somewhat vague on my availability due to serious health issues with my sister that have me in San Diego most weekends.
I will also pray for your Mother's health, and look forward to meeting you at some point in the future.
