On one hand you see duals as complicated and too much for your small room. On the other hand now you want to wait for the PB15" Ultra for the said small room? Now that speaker will for sure be in the $3000-$3500 price range. Now you are getting into the Seaton Submersive, JTR Audio Captivator range.

I'm confused...What exactly are you looking for in your small room?

Dude, for $2500 bucks you could put a couple of the sealed XS15se in that room and a new AVR-4520CI AVR w/ Audyssey Multi EQ32 & Sub EQ HT. Would have the tightness and depth for stereo bass(Music!) and movies with the output to knock your socks off given the room size. Not to mention room correction designed for TWO subs.

But hey....if the $3K+ SVS 15"-16" or whatever size it turns out to be, is what you are after, then go for it...its the only way you will know.

I'm currently on the Onkyo bandwagon but have no plans to go Atmos. I've yet to hear it but hope to find a local theater that has it. Will like to hear what its all about.

Atmos is quite enveloping in the theater. I do have plans to move to Atmos in the future but I would like to see a couple of generations of receivers come out before I buy in to the technology. I'll let others be on the bleeding edge and help work out the bugs.

I like the Pioneer Elite receivers but now that I have dual subs, I won't buy a receiver unless it has Audyssey Multi EQ32 & Sub EQ HT.

You dont "have" to do anything with it. If your not familiar with how to measure the response of your room (or don't have equipment to do so), I'd leave it alone.

Its not simple as you said. Its worth it if you know you need to boost a certain frequency range due to a dip in SPL, but without really understanding what its for, your likely to do more harm that good with it.
