Now that I am retired - I get to enjoy leisurely explorations around town.

Today, I took the coastal side streets between La Jolla and Birdrock - lots of places to stop, get out, and enjoy the gorgeous perfect cool weather.

    Some pics

    Birdrock area

    Neptune Avenue area

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

Mud Season has arrived, it appears, in Northern New England...

(our street is not of the paved variety)

EDIT: Heh. In March, it's kind of hard to believe, much less remember, that it looks rather different here in the summertime...

reminds me of my Grandparents home in Arkansas, they were right in the heart of the Quachita Forest area! trees so close together you could not ride a horse thru them.

Dude, I saw a short film on all the hidden symbolism in The Shining....cannot recall the title but I'm sure a quick search would pull it up. I have to seem the film again soon. Stanly Kubrick seems to have been a conspiracy theorist of sorts.

There is a documentary about The Shining on Netflix, it's probably what you saw. Room 237, which is the room where one of the murders took place. I don't know how many of the theories they speculate about were actually accurate, but it's pretty obvious that Kubrick intended at least some of them. I saw a photo where he was carefully placing one of the Calumet cans that they discuss in the movie.

The "for colin" is probably referring to Colin Campbell, a former engineer at Polk.

Maxell used it as an ad, yes... but it sort of had a life of its own. Steve Steigman was the photographer.

^^^^ If you stack a TU-9900 on top of that Sansui integrated, I'd be willing to trade you a couple of Cheese-Puff-stealing grandkids straight up.

Willing to pay for shipping, too ! For the Sansui ...... (I'll send the grandkids via Greyhound).
