    ahem... in the interest of disclosure... that evergreen tree in the foreground is our 2014 Christmas tree, screwed to a hunk of plywood and strategically placed to afford some cover to the birdies visiting the nearby niger ("thistle") seed feeder. You do stuff like this when your spouse is a serious birder...
