SDA series options
First post on forum, have found lots of great info here...
Have been enjoying some Monitor 10's I got for free working a garage sale. They were a perk of volunteering. Since then I have been seeing some CL ads for the big brother SDA series models. I remember seeing these in magazine ads back when I subscribed Stereo Review and it made me nostalgic...and want to seek a larger set of stereo speakers! Don't have a ton of budget but the following options are available:
SDA - SRS2: $449.00
SDA - 1C: $500.00
SDA - SRS3.1TL: $700.00
I would have to save up for a proper power amp - been keeping an eye out for Yamaha amps. They would be running off a AVR-3805 for a little bit. Also have a Technics SA-DA10 I could dedicate. They are for garage duty and my hope is to clear that room out and make it as a man cave again soon.
My question is, of the models listed above and their respective asking prices, which is the best bang for my buck? They all seem like they would satisfy my needs, but which is the best value of the bunch?
Thanks in advance!

SDA's are not speakers one puts in their garage. Stick with the Monitors 10's.Political Correctness'.........defined

Welcome.
Out of those, the SRS2's are good value.SDA's are not speakers one puts in their garage. Stick with the Monitors 10's.

The highest performance and bang for the buck is going to come from the SDA SRS 3.1TL. It is the latest generation model with the most advanced features. My next choice would be the SDA 1C.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country!

The SRS 2's will be a little tougher to drive with your AVR, the 1C's and 3.1's will be a tad bit easier load.

Thanks for the comments all...neither the 3.1 or SRS2 have the SDA cable. At this point I think investing in a better amp, and preamp may be a better start. Not to mention I put my AVR in stereo mode and the Monitor 10's really are a nice speaker. I have to imagine a better amp will make a difference. Recently upgraded amp in my car audio setup (more power, higher quality) and the difference was night and day. Thinking it would be similar for these home speakers. Have a line on a Rotel RC-1070 and GFA-555 combo for what seems a good deal ($500.00).
Also, I think I need better placement in my listening room/garage. Plenty of bass output in the "cove" that they sit in. But not much outside of it. I think I need to put them on the floor to really get that bass out there...
