    Thanks for the info,I did take the 500 out and put the 555 in.I do quite abit of home electrical work and got to thinking that it wasn't a good idea to leave it in line

    well,got the 6600's off ebay today,he cut me a good deal on the shipping,so I guess back out of the closet they come,he had them as 6501's but the second pic showed 6600x.Contacted him he said they were all the same so I thought why not

    Well I guess I did more than I thought to the speakers,the left channel speaker now has no bass and sounds distorted,without the interconnect hooked up.It seems as though the tweeter is working fine,the speaker is just lifeless.Any thoughts?This is not the speaker I just replaced all the mids on

    There's something very wrong there. You'll have to print out the schematic and trace every wire, and figure out where the problem is.

    Will do,I changed the fuse for the stereo portion of the speaker and still no difference,I guess this speaker has no poly switch so that can't be the problem.So If I trace all the wires and they are correct could it be a capacitor or resistor issue.This is the same speaker that I noticed causing the clipping signal even before I fixed the interconnect issue.

    Electrolytics could be burned out. I've also seen Inductors cooked, and resistors fried. Inspect everything.

    Well pulled everything out all wired correctly hooked it back up but used the pin connectors of the kenwood 7060 I have it hooked up to instead of the banana plugs off of the denon poa 2400.I am using the kenwood as a pre for the denon hooked up to my computer.Everything is back to normal so I guess the connectors for the banana plugs need to be cleaned because the klipsch heresy's that I have hooked to the denon have no problem on the left channel

    Yes it is,now I just need to figure out If I need to put my money into my sda 2b's or these,I'm guessing the b's from what I read.Maybe just start with the b's and go from there.They are stock so I guess the crossover and tweeter up grades are do.

    I really don't have much experience in soldering circuit boards,I can weld,and do anything plumbing or hvac soldering/brazing.I have a pair of monitor 7 crossovers I could practice on as far as to practice soldering on or maybe just find an old board to practice on.What iron do i need to use.I hate paying someone to do something I might be able to do myself

    I use a soldering station, but if you just need something for an occasional project, the Rat Shack has a few adjustable irons that will work fine.
