I'm listening to A Way with Words on Vermont Public Radio over my second cuppa coffee ;-)
Mrs. H had to hit the road at oh-dark-thirty for a birding trip she's leading today on the MA North Shore... I'll be listening to something more interesting to this audience shortly... -

One of his best efforts for sure. Still looking for it on used vinyl every time I go bin crawling. -
Great album; I didn't know that there was a "deluxe edition" :-P

My wife loves birds. I think she was a bird in a previous life.
Gone with the Wind original MP soundtrack taken directly from the optical music tracks.
1983 LP. Has the one sheet in it and the inner sleeve movie pictures and the story of the movie. Nice work.mhardy6647 wrote: »I'm listening to A Way with Words on Vermont Public Radio over my second cuppa coffee ;-)

This morning it's Michael Bloomfield's "Annaline" and Michael Hedges' "Aerial Boundaries".

Continuing the soundtrack theme
JAWS 1975
Note: This one made it to me from England apparently.
There is a MCA Records sticker that states,

heh, I have - courtesy of my late parents - that album, as well -- the Anaria recording always weirded me out as a child.
Anaria is a very interesting "space opera", in point of fact. -
Dylan: New Morning.

~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
HELP!
In DTS 5.1 Surround Sound -
Just received this in the mail today -- I was unaware of the existence of this version, half speed mastered (MCA Canada, apparently, eh?) of a (sadly over-played, over the decades) classic, but generally meh sounding album. The sound on this was simply astonishing to me (and I've owned myriad copies, on most formats, including 8-track[!] since it originally came out). The clarity of the vocals was particularly amazing relative to what I've grown used to.

Now listenin' to Pete Townshsend's fine and (atypically) low key solo debut, Who Came First on silver Track label. I bought this album, used, for $2 at Record & Tape Traders in Towson, MD one fine late winter day (President's Day Monday, as I recall) way way back in -- roughly -- 1978 or '79. It still bears their little yellow sticker on the front of the jacket.
A good investment of two dollas.

My youngest son, Mitchell (pictured), and I spent the afternoon at my friend Joe's new record shop. Joe brought 130,000 vinyl selections from the LA area, where he was a motion picture camera man for 40 years, when he moved here. Roughly a third are out in the bins, the rest are still boxed in compartments under the bins (drool).
What an absolutely great time!
