You absolutely MUST get the MFSL SACD of "Forever Changes" set to come out soon. I have mine pre-orered as of 2 months ago.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Paul, I'll try to remember to burn a copy of The Samples self titled album for you, I think you'd like it... I used to play it all the time but then I went a real long time without listening to the whole thing. When I put it on the other day, it was as good as I remember. Here's another one that should sound real good on tubed SDA's:Never heard Isaak before (other than the one song), not sure if I'd dig it or not.
Those tubes were sweet today.
For those here that might follow my posts know I have a penchant for 60's and early 70's rock music. But I still have more than a passing fancy for Mr. Isaak's albums.
hohcpt21 I think ypu should at least give him a try and I'd start with "Forever Blue"
I have 8 CD's and his first 3 on vinyl and I still need to pick up "Silvertone" on CD.
Here is the Wicked Game album on youtube

The Stereo version of FC on now as a warm up!
The review of the LP is pretty much spot on.
My opinion is that this LP was a hit single away from top 10 LP status.
I had to STOP playing it for a while as I was playing it every day!You absolutely MUST get the MFSL SACD of "Forever Changes" set to come out soon. I have mine pre-orered as of 2 months ago.

Rick, you should proceed with the Holy Triumvirate: After Bringing It All Back Home, put on Hwy. 61 and Blonde On Blonde. IIRC, the Great One put all three of those albums out in something like 18 months.... (Of course, the Japanese Beatles also put out 3 albums in 18 months.) Amazing.

Oh those wonderful English Japanese Beatles.

New Riders of the Purple Sage ~ Powerglide........(1972)
Powerglide is the second album by the American band the New Riders of the Purple Sage. The music is a psychedelic hybrid of country rock, and includes guest musicians Jerry Garcia and Bill Kreutzmann from the Grateful Dead, along with noted session player Nicky Hopkins. The album contains six original tunes by the band, plus covers such as "I Don't Need No Doctor", "Hello Mary Lou", and "Willie and the Hand Jive".

Silver Apples ~ ContactSilver Apples is an American psychedelic electronic music group from New York, composed of Simeon (born Simeon Oliver Coxe III, 4 June 1938, in Knoxville, Tennessee), who performs on a primitive synthesizer of his own devising (also named The Simeon); and, until his death in 2005, drummer Danny Taylor. The group was active between 1967 and 1969, before reforming in the mid-1990s.
They were one of the first groups to employ electronic music techniques extensively within a rock idiom, and their minimalistic style, with its pulsing, driving beat and frequently discordant modality, anticipated not only the experimental electronic music and krautrock of the 1970s, but also underground dance music and indie rock of the 1990s.
