A wonderful album - and good sounding in its own "recorded in the back room of my house" way - which most of it was.
Most folks wouldn't associate Pete Townshend with "charming", but it is an absolutely charming recording.
The "Pete Townshsend" type font on that album is different to the one I have - what does the label look like? Mine is silver "Track Records"... and the album spine, at least, refers to Big T as "Peter Townshend" (only time I've ever seen that). -
MHardy,
Polydor B.V. Stamped 1972. This is a cheaper release of some kind. Not what I had seen. Says printed in Holland.
It has made its way around the North Coast and now is here for a while! Sounds Good! -
Hi MRH,
Well, I replied once so if this shows up twice, forgive me.
This was released in 1972 by Polydor judging by the runout stamp.
Says made in Holland. Printed in Holland, ect. -

Babe Ruth ~ Amar Caballero.........1973Babe Ruth are a rock music group, primarily active through the 1970s, from Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England. Their characteristically 'heavy' sound is marked by powerful vocals from Janita (Jenny) Haan and full arrangements by Alan Shacklock. They are acknowledged as having more commercial success in North America than in their home country.

+1 Mr. Solomon Burke, as Mick Jagger says. No luck at the record stores in Madison finding any Chris Isaak vinyl. However, I was able to listen to San Francisco Days on CD in my car all the way down and back, good album. Next: Desire on SACD.

I'm home today and needed to occupy some time. So I played this Mike Pinera album I picked up recently. (still sealed for $3)

Mike Pinera ~ Isla
After I was done with that LP I looked up to see what groups he was associated with. So I'm playing anything I have with him in the band.
He was also in Iron Butterfly. After these I'll look for something else
