B's can be equipped with either Peerless or SL1000 and MW6600X - Fused
    C's can be equipped with SL1000 and 6600X or MW6501 OR SL2000 and MW6501 - early C's are fused, later C's have a polyswitch

Peerless is by far the tweeter of choice. Midwest Speaker sells a Peerless clone that is very good.

    Peerless > SL2000 > SL1000

However SL2000's can be replaced with RDO-194's

The 194s are also the approved replacement for the SL1000s too.

I don't know why I thought there wasn't an RDO replacement for the 1000's

Let me add that I had some RTA12B's that I recently sold and they employed a poly switch that I removed and replaced with a resistor.

SL1000/Peerless use the same crossover network and are interchangeable agreed. I replaced my SL1000's with Peerless and now have a few extra SL1000's laying around. There was a difference but it wasn't night/day like there is with SL2000's.
