F/XiA6 - Questions Regarding Install Location

Ok, I'm looking to purchase the F/XiA6 surrounds to finish off my Polk Audio home theater set-up. I have RTiA5's for the fronts, a 550 sub and getting a CSiA6 center. I need to know if the F/XiA6 will work where I am planning on putting them.
Our living room has a vaulted ceiling and is open to our kitchen area. There is a small drop down wall between the kitchen and living room that comes down a couple of feet from the vaulted ceiling to the ceiling in the kitchen. I'm wanting to mount these on that small drop down wall. It sits right behind our sitting area and is about 7 or 8 feet off the floor. Will these speakers work mounted that high off the floor if I use a bracket that tilts them forward some? Or do these need to be mounted flat against the wall? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Your plan sound like a good one however, I believe you'll end up experimenting as you go. If you could bring them down to about 5 - 6' off the floor, then yay. But that high and tilted should you do you good.
I've had mine 5.5' feet up and to the sides of the seating area. Right now they are behind about three feet back and 4.5' off the ground.
Ultimately, I prefer mine to the sides but that day will come again. Here are a couple pictures of the back of my living room and the drop down wall where I am thinking of putting these speakers. Please let me know your thoughts if these will work here or if I should use a different speaker for my surrounds. There is no room on the side wall, so this is really my only option of space to use to install the surrounds. Thanks for any and all feedback.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I pictured in my mind. Thanks for getting back with me on this. I have been trying to find pictures of how people have installed these, but not having much luck. How far from the sidewall should I put them and what kind of angle should I have them pointing down from that height? The drop down wall is 8' from the floor and then the drop down is 2'. Thanks again for any and all help.

You can easily do a foot to two feet from the side wall. No matter how high you have them mounted, these babies are so powerful, you can mount them flush, or straight ahead.
You're going to get plenty of sound out of these speakers. I've run a pair of satellites, two different bookshelves and one set of towers (M70) as surrounds, and so far, these bipoles are by far the best and most sound emitting speaker I've heard in surround.
