I have seen BB twice LIVE (Twice).
    Absolutley KILLER!

That said, I would not trade that experience for a single Robert Cray!
    Never!
    Love BB!, Always
    Just saying..................

    Explore Charlie.
    Search, Yourtube!
Do not dismiss, do some research, like everyone else that loves Robert.
I can assure you if you did a search, Robert would more than likely be in the tens, if not the hundreds of thousands of hits!
You know you trust me, he is "The Blues"!

Strong statement and I know this whole thread is about music.
But I must admit he is so underated, it is a "crime of humanity"!

    The man is "The Blues".
You cannot discuss the subject without talking about him!
    Period.
IMHO, one of the greatest "Blues Artists" In the 20th Century.
And I can assure you. I have heard some music in my 47 years!

    Hello friends!!

I have received a couple of PM's from members wondering where I've been the past few days. I appreciate the concern, and with that here is what's been going on in my life lately:

As far as Hurricane Sandy, we got very lucky in my area. We got a lot of rain and had some strong (50-60 mph) winds, but the damage was minimal. I suffered no losses or damage, thank God for that. My mother and stepfather were without telephone service for two days, and electricity for one day. They also had a tree fall onto one of their two garages, but luckily it did little to no damage. We dodged a major bullet here, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all that were affected...

In regards to my family and all the health issues they are having right now: My mother and brother are both improving daily, and I am so very thankful for that. My stepfather, on the other hand, has suffered a bit of a setback. He had an operation last week and went home Thursday, but had a bladder problem on Monday night and was in the E.R. for a few hours. He is home again and resting, and hopefully he will be able to get back in good health soon...

At work, I just found out that next week they will be doing away with 3rd shift, so the few of us on it will be going to 2nd shift (3:45-12:15) M-F. This will give me a 3 day weekend this week!! As we grow closer to the plant closing, tensions are running high as would be expected. Myself, I choose NOT to let it get me down, so I remain the happy-go-lucky person that I am. I know I'll find another decent job, I always manage to. For now, I have a plan in place to get my truck and motorcycle paid off, and if it works out I'll be able to survive on unemployment insurance easily without those two payments each month, in case of a long layoff. If for some reason it doesn't, I may be forced to sell a few more of my toys, but my Harley and my American made Fender Telecaster would not be among those items...

Also, I've decided to start spending a little less time online for awhile. I'll still be posting regularly on the weekend, and we'll see about when I go on 2nd shift next week. While I'm laid off, I'll likely be here a lot though...

Anyhow, once again I appreciate the concern for me a great deal!!

    Rick

Good to hear your family and you are doing well. I like the fact that you are not on a "pitty party" about the layoff, you are optimistic about obtaining another job, and you are remaining in good spirits about it. I hope 2nd shift suits you ok when the shift comes. Take care of yourself.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
