    Sweet!

We havin' it at your house?

I'd offer mine but if you yahoos are coming, you'll have to help me hang sheetrock.
Sure! Bring your tools, though. Once we finish my basement, we can go hang your sheetrock. Then the fun starts, when we start slinging the mud. Have lots of booze ready, too. Makes for a more "interesting" textured finish.

    Ummm...basement?

There isn't any lotion and hoses involved, are there?

'Cause the LAST guy who wanted help with his "basement" had this huge hole in the ground. He kept petting this dog and squirting me with a hose. Man, THAT guy was annoying!

We posted the video about PolkFest 12 today. Thanks to everyone one last time for coming out - I was truly impressed by everyone's knowledge and generosity. Please count me in for SC!

    BTW...

Planning for Carolina PF IV is already in the initial planning stages. Unless something drastic happens, it will be the first weekend in October. Mark your calendars, this will be epic. EPIC.

Start your liver training programs now. I was off my game this year but it won't happen again.

    North Charleston, SC.

    5 Miles from Charleston IAP.....

I am highly motivated. I haven't been this jazzed again over audio in a long time. I'm looking to procure some LSiM's (TLW wants a credible music system in the living room again)....and I want another pair of big SDA's. Listening to the LSiM 707's and 705's made me realize just how much I miss a good, dynamic loudspeaker. Also going to get the Carver Platinums ressurected......

A very wise man once said "there is no substitute for radiating surface area and a man's amp".

    Damn right.

I'm guessing food will be served at the BDTinc. restaurant?

At the restaurant.....probably not. I mean, for the folks that come in the night prior...we'll probably have dinner there. The 'Fest itself, we'll do the food there. I've got a few ideas for that...and it will be good.

Nice time to start saving now. If that speaker lineup happens I will find a way to get there. It's my speaker dream team.

What I meant to say was that I'll do the food here at the house.

Yeah, me too....seems like when you aren't in the market, there are SDA's galore....but now that I'm looking, nada. Well, there is a pair of 2.3tl's on ebay.....

You don't HAVE to wear a hat for your hat size to grow. I was actually proud of you, you were on very good behavior.

Apparently, as arguing, fighting, shouting and puking all over has become a standard for running a Polkfest. Big Lou never needed so much help....

This was for me the best HQ Fest yet, all were very good, but the bar was raised again this year.

You and F1 don't nearly look as tough as your internet egos make you out to be. It was the comment of you hosting that made me assume that wasn't you in the video. Picturing you on that flaming tractor now...

I was blown away by the sound coming from the LSim707's at Polkfest Headquarters demo.
I am wondering what exactly were the other pieces making that happen. I know it was a Conrad Johnson amp (what model?) and an Aragon preamp (what model?). I would love to be able to recreate that sound.

Can it be done w/the LsiM703's??

Hey rromeo923, here are the deets you seek:

The cables were AudioQUest, one of their "72V Dielectric-Bias” models.

    CD Player: Pioneer Elite PD-65
    Preamp: Aragon 18K
    Power Amp: Conrad Johnson MF-2300

I think it CAN be done with the 703s!
