I see that Rotel has just released their new Pre/Pro. I'll be following this one closely to see how it fares when the reviews start coming in. I know that Rotel had serious issues with previous units & HDMI problems. Now HDMI problems were not just with Rotel (a lot of manuf. also had issues with the HDMI format) so it should be interesting to see what corrections were made. Hopefully this unit is up to snuff to carry on with Rotel's reputation for great sounding/performing gear at reasonable prices.

The Rotel should be a very good Pre/Pro. The best Pre/Pro for the Money is the Integra Pre-pro's.
No HDMI problems that I know of,and are great on HT.

Rotels are the more musical of the bunch of lower cost HT preamps but what I dont understand is that they still have no room correction system in place

I'm reading a lot of issues with the Integra units having an annoying "clicking noise" when you change inputs, channels, etc. Apparently it's a known issue that's not been addressed yet. That's enough to turn me off. Other than that, it's one fine unit.

I have an older Integra 9.8, I have not noticed that clicking noise.......But as far as Processing goes, these things are great.
SACD over the HDMI with my Oppo player sounds very good.

I run Integra gear for HT and never had an issue. I'm running new Integra gear and love it. Only thing I can think of is that their gear needs at least 4-6" minimum on top so the heat can escape. Aas far as Rotel goes I like it only "ok". I much prefer the BW groups higher end gear,Classe. Yes it costs more but worth every penny imo. Rotel sounds lightweight, bright, and tinny to me compared to Classe. Will take a look at the new gear regardless though.
    Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

I have it in our theater room and I have not noticed any of these issues. Not a very musical Preamp , better for theater.

I find Rotels lack of features disturbing.
