1000 is a little high for that Sunfire. I see them go pretty often for 750-850. Now, if that was the 400x5, that'd be a heckuva deal, as those go for 1500 and up. But for a non-signature 200x5 that doesn't seem to have been serviced? Pass.

Classe SA300 amplifier in Seattle $1800 (obo?)
    http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/ele/2570673053.html

I have met the guy, Harold, that is selling this and he is a really great guy. I have not heard it, but if the condition and care that he had kept the Carver amps that I got from him is any indication, then I am sure the same is true. I know he still has the box and the paperwork...And I am sure Sharon (his wife) would love to get this out of their spare bedroom , this thing is a beast...it could double as a coffee table..haha

You might even get him to demo it on his ML's...I did not have time when I was there, the first time, but I..will when I go back...I still need to hear what they sound like on two Para A21's running duel mono ...:eek

Anyway, hope this helps someone out :)

I see now two people saw this sale. Seems like a deal to me too.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Found these for sale just 8 hours east of me. I've never done research but most of you here from what I read really stand behind these. They look in wonderful shape and the price looks right too. If anyone lives near Thunder Bay... Snatch 'em!

Anyone in OHIO looking for some SRS?

    http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ele/2522708967.html

    Polk Audio SDA-SRS Speakers(2) - $500 (Norwood, OH)

    Date: 2011-07-31, 1:15PM EDT
Reply to: sale-zqbbg-2522708967@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Speakers look a little rough but work well. Some of the speaker "cones" are pushed in. Probably from the late 80's. $1295 EACH originally. Original description below.

"Each 63.75" x 21 x 13 cabinet contains 8 Polk 6.5" trilaminate-polymer drivers, a planar 15" sub-bass radiator, 4 Polk 1" Silver Coil polyamide dome tweeters and an incredibly complex and sophisticated Isophase crossover system. One of the unique features of the crossover is the progressive variation of the high frequency high-pass circuitry which maintains virtual point source operation resulting in wide horizontal and vertical dispersion. Power handling is nominally rated at 1000 watts per channel, although the high efficiency of the system allows superb performance to be realized with even the most moderately powered receiver. Bass performance is, in a word, breathtaking. The use of 8 small active drivers coupled to the large 15" sub-bass radiator results in extraordinarily tight, quick and three dimensional mid and upper bass combined with low and sub-bass capabilities which are staggering (clean output at 25 Hz exceeds 100db!) An elaborate bracing system is employed resulting in a remarkably rigid cabinet which virtually eliminates colorations due to panel resonances. Separate inputs for high and low frequency sections of the system allows bi-wire or bi-amp operation without the need for a separate electronic crossover. The speakers are beautifully finished in oiled oak and walnut."
