Well, I got them cheap so I prefer not to make any kind of profit off of a forum member. Though unless someone wants them, I can settle with a trade for something of less value (like 2-300).

If you want to try tubes, this vintage amp might be for you. These have good phono sections and his mod to the 6GM5 power tube set is a good idea as they are nothing but 7591s in a different and more available format that opens up more opportunities to use vintage NOS tubes.

this ad seems to be going around. It's just a spammer, saying they will ship it to you from london or africa, or wherever. All you have to do is send him the money first, and then he will stop feeding poor starving natives long enough to ship the amp.
The same ad came up in chicago - same pics and everything - and when i asked about it's history he said that he moved to london on a missions trip and then ran out of money so his brother for los angeles shipped him the amp (to london) so that he could sell it for money (in america). sounds reasonable.
I guess the sad part is that people actually believe ludicrous stories like that.

Don't ask me how or why... I got my RTi A5's for $230 each, plus $30 each for shipping from Electronics Expo/Amazon- about 3 weeks ago. They are an authorized retailer too. I guessing from the looks that those were not in Past Christian during Katrina (or got really lucky), but I would give them a complete check for water damage before walking away with them.
