I need to get a wall mount for a 42" plasma set. I was gonna pick one up from monoprice but how do i know if it will work for my set?
I see they have show tv size for each set but is there a way to be certain it will work?
Like my set has screw holes 25"s wide and a 15" space between the height.
Maybe i'm over thinking this, not sure?

There is a standard for mounts called VESA I believe and most, if not all new televisions fall within this category. I'd look for VESA compliance.

I got a Peerless from Amazon for cheap cheap and it is built like a tank! Very good mount IMO. It has what I'd call universal mount capabilities and is rated to handle up to a 46" panel.

I like Omnimount Plasma brackets but any universal mount designed for a 42 inch TV should work just fine. Peerless and Chief are also good brands. I have no experience with Monoprice.

If you ever consider changing cables - power or hdmi or whatever, get a swivel mount so you can pull the plasma forward and get behind for 'cable tweaking'.

I use a Sanus swivel mount - comes in handy.

I have the larger version of this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021103

I really like the versatility and aesthetics.

This is the Sanus I bought at Amazon for my 42" Plasma. It is very easy to assemble and is rock solid. Highly recommended.

I can also vouch for the Monoprice tilting wall mount. I have used several of them (one yesterday, in fact) and they always do the job at a great price. With shipping they are usually about $40 for me to the east coast.

Check your local Costco if you have one. Mine carries a couple of wall mounts that seem to be pretty inexpensive. I haven't compared any lately so I don't know what's on line these days price wise.
    Set up:

    Marantz AV8802A - Sources: BRP Panasonic 9000/CDP Emotiva ERC 3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-6, XPA-2 x 2 - Speakers: Focal/PolkAudio, Mains/2ch - Kanta No2, C - LSiM706, SS - LSiM702, WS - RTiA9, RS - RTiA9, FH - RTiA3 - Subs: Epik Empires x 2

Cables: AQ McKenzie XLR's from CDP to AVP to amp for 2ch, Emotiva XLR's for the rest - Douglasconnection: Furutech Alpha 36 12g speaker wire for 2ch, Furez 10g speaker wire for the rest - AQ Forest48 HDMI for the display, AQ Carbon48 HDMI from BRP to AVP - VR3 filtered power cables for CDP, BRP and AVP, Emotiva power cables for the amps - AudioQuest 505 power conditioner.

EXPERIENCE: next to nothing, but I sure enjoy audio and video MY OPINION OF THIS HOBBY: I may not be a smart man, but I know what quicksand is.

+2 for MP. I got one of their most expensive ones and it was less than $75 shipped. Similar models at BB were pushing $300

I've used multiple ones from monoprice. No issues at all, and they usually put a warning on there if a model doesn't work with certain TV's (buddy had a pioneer that the cheapest model wouldn't fit and they listed that info in the ad).
